Workshop Information
TEACH fellows are required to complete 20 hours of TEACH program workshops over the duration of their fellowships (the fall and spring semesters). Departmental training sessions may complete up to 4 hours of this requirement with prior approval from the TLTC program coordinator. TEACH fellows should become familiar with the online registration system available at www.tltc.ttu.edu to sign up for any TEACH Program workshop. It is the TEACH fellow's responsibility to find workshops that work with his/her schedule and to identify potential problems EARLY. Our workshops are scheduled with your schedules in mind and at the convenience of the volunteers who lead them. There is no way that we can arrange a schedule that meets everyone's needs and avoid all conflicts but we do our best and invite your feedback.
Attendance
TEACH fellows must have completed 10 workshop hours by Friday, December 1st, and the remaining 10 hours (20 cumulative workshop hours) by Friday, April 20th.
TEACH fellows should have a signed activity contract in their TEACH program files. This contract details the workshops to be completed in the fall. Your TEACH program consultant will help you to complete your activity contract by adding spring workshop credits after you make your selections and register for the spring workshops. If you have a question about your contract, please contact your consultant.
Requirements
The workshop requirement can be met through a combination of any of the workshops attended at the TLTC from August 14th, 2006 through April 20th, 2007. TEACH fellows should choose workshops that meet their needs and interests. If a TEACH fellow would like assistance in selecting appropriate workshops or more information about the content covered in a particular workshop, a TEACH Program Consultant will gladly assist in this process.
Please note that that the fall semester and spring semester will differ. Not all workshops are scheduled on a semester basis (rather they will be offered based on interest and availability of volunteer instructors). If you have suggestions about workshops you would like for us to offer, we are always interested in your feedback.
Time and Prerequsites
Workshops typically last for one hour but some technology workshops may last longer and will, therefore, be given more credit. Some technology workshops have prerequisites (fellows should contact their TEACH consultant if they have questions about a prerequisite).
TEACH fellows can use the online registration system to check their profiles throughout the semester if they wish to review what workshops they have attended and how many hours have been completed. Please remember that your workshop attendance may not be recorded immediately. If your records have not been updated within 48 hours of attending a TLTC session, feel free to contact us and let us know.
