Teaching Effectiveness And Career EnHancement

Apply to TEACH!

We are currently seeking applications for the Fall 2008/Spring 2009 cohort! The online application system will be open for new applications on Monday, March 10th. The deadline for completed applications is Friday, April 11th. To submit an application, go to www.tltc.ttu.edu/teach/apply. For more information, please visit the other links on this website or contact Steve Jackman by calling 742-0133 or via email at stephen.jackman@ttu.edu.

A complete application will include:

    • Completed online application form
    • Curriculum Vitae, in MS Word format, uploaded online
    • Letter of interest, in MS Word format, uploaded online.  Please note that the letter should describe: progress toward degree; previous teaching experience; career goals as they relate to teaching; relevant areas of research; and reasons for interest in the program.
    • Two faculty recommendations submitted by faculty members online.  Please note that you must begin your application before faculty members can submit their recommendations. You will be asked to enter contact information for these faculty recommenders. Once the information is entered, they will automatically receive an email directing them to the recommendation form.  If a faculty member has questions or concerns about the process, please contact Steve Jackman for more information at 742 – 0133 or via email at stephen.jackman@ttu.edu.
    • Graduate students speaking English as a second language must submit a copy of the teaching recommendation letter emailed or given to them and their graduate advisors upon completion of the ITA workshop. This letter should be submitted to Dr. Allison Boye at the TLTC, either electronically or in hard copy form.  If applicants have difficulty locating their copy of the letter, they should first ask their graduate advisors for assistance; they may also contact Dr. Boye if they have questions or concerns.

TEACH Wiki/Manual

For more information about the TEACH program, feel free to visit our online manual by clicking the link in the above title. Please note that details of this manual may change before the Fall semester begins.

TEACH Blog

A new feature to the 2007-08 edition of the TEACH program is the development of a weblog. We used this blog as a means to communicate with TEACH fellows in a less formal manner. During the course of the year, we posted articles of interest as well as reminders/advice about TEACH projects or events. TEACH fellows are welcome to comment on a post and add any insight or ask any questions they may have. The TEACH staff is available to address any questions or comments throughout the week. If you're interested in the TEACH program, feel free to visit the blog by clicking on the link in the title.
