Faculty Fellows Program
The Service Learning Faculty Fellows Programs are a new addition to programming offered by the TLTC for the 2006-2007 academic. The purpose of these programs is to create a community of scholars who will integrate the philosophy, pedagogy, and process of service-learning into each component of their professional lives – research, teaching, and professional service.
The Service Learning Faculty Fellows Program, modeled after the fellows program at Montclair State University, is sponsored by the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Center. After participating in the program, a faculty member can maintain their status as a Service-Learning Faculty Fellow by teaching a service-learning course once a year.
There are two fellows available – the Service Learning Faculty Fellows and the Faculty Fellows Mentor – and each has its own unique set of benefits and requirements. After one year as a Service-Learning Faculty Fellow, a faculty member will also be eligible to apply for the Faculty Fellow Mentor Program, which involves mentoring the current faculty fellows and participating in the development of service-learning faculty programming.

Including intensive training and support, the Service Learning Faculty Fellows is designed with faculty new to the service-learning pedagogy in mind. - Comprehensive training in service-learning philosophy and implementation
- One-on-one consultation with TLTC staff and service-learning mentors
