Adobe Breeze
Ever wished you could put your voice and face to your on-line PowerPoint presentation? Would you like to teach and interact with your students no matter where they might be, from anywhere in the world? Adobe (former Macromedia) Breeze can help.
Breeze is a rich web communication system that enables presenters to host and create media-rich online meetings and training materials, which users can access instantly via any web browser. It allows non-technical users to communicate and collaborate remotely and to author and share effective, engaging presentations that incorporate voice, video, and interactivity.
Adobe (Breeze) Presenter
Adobe Presenter uses the familiar tool, PowerPoint, to author and publish effective presentations and training materials on the web. Thanks to the compression and multimedia features of Flash, Adobe Presenter presentations are richer in features, more engaging, and smaller in size than regular web pages.
Any computer equipped with the Flash Player, an Internet browser, and Internet connection can be used for viewing Presenter presentations. Authoring Adobe Presenter presentations also requires Microsoft PowerPoint (available under Texas Tech Campus Agreement - visit the eRaider portal for more information and free download) and Breeze plug-in for PowerPoint (available from TLTC Downloads ). You will also need a microphone to record your voice and an optional web camera for photos or videclips.
If during Breeze Presenter installation you receive a pop-up window with error 1904, you will need to uninstall both Presenter and Flash, then reinstall Flash and Presenter, in that order. To uninstall Flash, you'll need to shut down any program that uses Flash directly or uses the browser to reach HTML formatted messages and files. This includes most instant messaging clients and email programs. Adobe has two tech notes on the subject:
TLTC offers a regular short course "Creating Asynchronous Online Distance Learning Courses with Adobe (Breeze) Presenter".
