Texas Tech FrontPage Themes

 

The TLTC and our graphics designers have worked to bring you a some new Texas Tech themes to add to your FrontPage collection.  You can choose a theme help show Texas Tech support in your web site.  They are also great for applying a smooth look and feel across all of your existing web pages, but be careful, once your invoke a theme, you could lose all of your hard design work. (Colors, Font Face, etc.)

Make your selection from the screen captures below.  Choose to save the self-extracting executable to your hard drive.  Once the download is complete, you might have the choice to open the file.  If so, choose this option.  If not, browse your hard drive to the to the location where you saved the file.  Double click the file to run it.

After you have downloaded and unzipped the ".EXE" file, you should be able to locate the particular theme's folder in the default folder which it was unzipped to (which should be C:\Themes).

 

Installing a custom theme into FrontPage is much like importing images into your web.

  • First Click Main Menu - Tools > Web Settings
  • Click the Advanced Tab and Check the option "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
  • Choose Yes at the prompt and after the screen refreshes, you might see _Themes
  • If so, select it.  If not, select the root web at the top of your folder list.
  • Click on the menu option "File" and highlight the "Import" option.  Click on "Import".

 

You should then see the Import dialogue box.  Click on the "Add Folder" button.

 

Drill down to the Themes folder under Local Disk (C:), select the custom theme that you would like installed, and click "OK".
