The purpose of the CORE Faculty Fellows Program is to create a community of scholars who will integrate the philosophy and pedagogy of quality online instruction into each component of their professional lives - research, teaching, and professional service. Up to 10 participants will be selected each academic year. It is expected that this initiative will increase the quality and visibility of the online courses delivered at Texas Tech University. The program is sponsored by the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center.

QM (QUALITY MATTERS) Program

The Teaching, Learning and Technology Center is sponsoring the Quality Matters Program on the Texas Tech University campus during spring of 2007. Quality Matters is a nationally recognized peer review process designed to provide an inter-institutional quality assurance program for online courses.  With the ever increasing demand for accountability, the Quality Matters program provides a method of certifying Texas Tech University courses as meeting nationally held standards for online instruction. This is accomplished by using a rubric developed after multiple years of research and testing by the MarylandOnline Consortium funded through a Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) grant. If you are interested in more information about Quality Matters, please visit their website at www.qualitymatters.org.
